upper pic: less pigmented parts clearly bleached by now (head, scaps, coverts, even primaries seem paler); this ind. has shows a normal to slightly advanced covert moult for black sea birds - e.g. GC11 and 12 look renewed, some MC and LC. around 2/3 of scaps replaced. tail very typical mich (tapering, narrow black band). window appreciable but outer webs dark (venetian blind) and bird is bleached.

middle pic: note mottled inner webs to p1-4; i think this is more commonly seen in herring gull, less so in YLG and even less(?) in caspian.

lower pic: (some) upper scaps replaced, middle and lower shed or juvenile
